In this workshop, you’ll learn to re-examine your views and question common perceptions–often untrue–about guns and gun violence. You’ll view the documentary “Bowling for Columbine” and discuss your perceptions before and after the film.

Topics include:

  • The power and influence of the media regarding guns and gun violence.
  • Why teens pick up guns.
  • Does the fear of people different from ourselves divide us and lead to violence?
  • Does a gun more likely to help you or hurt you?
  • Critical thinking and questioning perceptions.
  • Leadership skills.
