In this workshop, you’ll learn to re-examine your views and question common perceptions–often untrue–about guns and gun violence. You’ll view the documentary “Bowling for Columbine” and discuss your perceptions before and after the film.
Topics include:
- The power and influence of the media regarding guns and gun violence.
- Why teens pick up guns.
- Does the fear of people different from ourselves divide us and lead to violence?
- Does a gun more likely to help you or hurt you?
- Critical thinking and questioning perceptions.
- Leadership skills.
