Jumaane Williams

Thanks for supporting the NYAGV Annual Benefit & Silent Auction in support of youth and community education programs to reduce gun violence.

NYAGV is grateful for all who came out and supported our Annual Benefit on November 15 in New York City. Your donations provide crucial funding for the NYAGV Education Fund and its gun violence prevention programs in New York City public schools and communities throughout the state.

Special thanks to:

  • Jumaane D. Williams, New York City Council Member, recipient of the NYAGV Founders’ Award, who spoke passionately about the impact of gun violence on New York communities;
  • The always entertaining Richard Kind, actor and comedian, who served as master of ceremonies; and
  • Mamarazzi, providing the wonderful music for the night.

It was also announced that the Allard K. Lowenstein Award for Public Service would be presented to artist, performer and activist Yoko Ono.
