On Tuesday, May 2, the NYAGV ReAction Youth Program students will be headed to Albany on a field trip to see state government in action! They’ll get a chance to meet with legislators and share their experiences about gun violence.
Albany Day will be a life-changing experience for these students. Won’t you please help support this trip and others like it with a donation to the NYAGV Education Fund?
These high school students–from communities such as Crown Heights, the Bronx; and Jamaica–will also be able to apply the public speaking and organizational skills they’ve learned in the Program.
- Morning: After an early morning departure to Albany, the students will meet with legislators from their districts–among them Carmen Arroyo, Nick Perry, Jo Anne Simon, Yuh-Line Niou, Mark Gjonaj and others.
- Afternoon: Students will hold their own press conference in the Capitol Well, with outstanding students speaking on behalf of the group.
Please help us make the most out of this Albany Day field trip! Your generous contribution will help cover this field trip and other enrichment programs for youth education.
